I’m loving The Rooks, and West Bedford! Meaghan was so awesome to deal with, making my move in go very smoothly. The building is kept clean, and whenever there are issues they are promptly addressed. Its a lovely place to call home ☺️

Extremely disappointed with the management at The Rooks. After being a responsible tenant, they charged me an $80 cleaning fee for minor things like 'wiping a microwave filter' tasks that would take 5 minutes. Even though I offered to address these minor points immediately, Assistant Property Manager was completely dismissive and refused to cooperate, instead telling me to go to the Tenancy Board. They prefer to nickle-and-dimine good tenants over small issues rather than maintaining a professional relationship. Be careful when moving out; they will find any excuse to keep part of your deposit.

I am new to Nova Scotia, and the catchy name caught my attention. I am renting in Tower 1. The good - the leasing staff, the cleanliness, the amenities, all included utilities (excluding electricity), indoor parking, and basement storage. Meaghan made my leasing journey really smooth and catered to all my needs. As someone who works in the real estate industry, I can say this experience is by far my best when it comes to leasing an apartment. The surprise in unit storage, and the basement storage are all a big plus. The many kitchen cabinets were a big relief. The closets have shelves and the balcony overlooking the parking lot is probably the best view that one should aim for when renting. The bad - the units are oddly constructed with bigger common area spaces (living room, bathrooms, and dining areas), whereas the primary bedroom are smaller than the secondary bedrooms. But since I live with my husband, it was a non issue for us. This might pose to be an issue for people with bigger families. There is no store near the building in case you need supplies immediately, maybe an issue for some people.
