Staff, except for Jill Brown (Administrator), are excellent. Laurie Parsons (Director of Care) should be the Administrator. I spent over 2 years as a resident at the Sagewood so I speak from experience. As long as Jill Brown is the Administrator, I would never live there again nor would I recommend you or your loved one live there. I even had to refuse Jill's ongoing demand to remove my room shower I used every day. I was evicted from the Sagewood in July 2025 (by two RCMP officers) without being given my right to appeal. I have launched a complaint about Jill/The Sagewood to the NS Human Rights Commission. My complaint is primarily based on Age Discrimination and no final decision has been made. The irony of my complaint to NSHRC, based on Age Discrimination against a Senior Long Term Care facility, is not lost on me. The Sagewood still owes me money and if Jill Brown was not employed there my rating would move up to 5 Stars from 3.
