The transition for anyone moving into a retirement home comes with challenges, it can be an emotional process. Lisa was and continues to be very patient, understanding and flexible. Patrick, who looks after the facility maintenance is a true gem as are all the staff, kitchen, cleaning, nursing and activity staff. My Mom initially tried West Shore on a trial/respite type stay for 3 weeks. At the end of the stay she had settled in and she decided to not return to her home but move in permanently. She eats good, healthy meals (her words) and enjoys the interaction with other residents. In so many ways not having to think about meals and the care of a home etc has given her more energy and confidence. West Shore staff are wonderful. They are friendly and happy. The staff go out of their way to connect with residents and ensure they are included, respected and well looked after. I never would have anticipated my mother would live in a retirement home but West Shore is exactly what she needed and as it turns out what she wanted. She feels safe, secure and is genuinely happy at West Shore.

Hello, The people who run this retirement home are extremely disrespectful. The medical director was very rude to me screaming to the top of her lungs at me and when I was just asking her a simple professional question. This ruined my whole night I am always such a nice person. Nobody deserves to ever be talked to like that. I don’t recommend sending your loved ones to a facility that has no manners or respect to human beings.
