I had a total of six appointments at the chiropody office, and I was happy with the treatment I received, but very unhappy with the organization of the office. I have Cerebral Palsy and use either public transit or a rideshare service to get to my appointments, and I use the rideshare service most often in inclement weather, which includes temperature extremes. This service requires me to book and pay for rides in advance and requires 24 hours notice of any ride cancellations for the fare to be refunded. Too many same day cancellations are frowned upon as my ride could have gone to someone else who needed it. More than once, I told the office staff that I needed 24 hours notice if my appointment needed to be cancelled or rescheduled. I even asked that this information be included in my client file so that all the staff would have access to it. On three separate occasions, my appointment was either cancelled or rescheduled on the day that I was supposed to be there. I would always call ahead to confirm my appointment or receive a call from the office confirming it, and on one occasion I was told that there would be painting going on in the office but that I could still come to my appointment. I arrive only to have Salima tell me that the office was in such disarray and the paint fumes were so strong that she couldn't complete my nail trim. I had no choice but to wait in the waiting room for my return ride for 45 minutes. I rebooked my appointment for a date after which the renovations would be complete and Salima told me my next appointment would be free of charge because of the inconvenience, but despite confirming this free appointment the day before, it was once again cancelled the next morning. I understand that Salima is dealing with a family situation as has been noted in a reply to another review and that emergencies happen, but there should be more staff available to cover appointments If emergencies do occur. Having half of my appointments rescheduled on short or no notice is frustrating to say the least, especially because I don't drive. Given what is going on in her personal life, I understand that Salima or her staff may not have been able to give me the notice I require to cancel my rides but if that were the case, all she would have to is tell me she couldn't provide that notice and I would have found another provider who can.

I would rate zero star if possible.The front desk as well as the doctor - Salma Abdul were extremely rude and arrogant. I can possibly say that they are not on good chair. Clinic called me last minute to cancel my appointment and then rescheduled it. Even though it was hassle but I understood that there might be some circumstances. I was late a few minutes on my next appointment. I called in clinic to advise . The rude lady at front desk was not at all ready to listen. It was still within my appointment time frame. I was even ready to pay late arrival fees. I began by thanking doctor for having me even when I was late. She cut my conversation in between and said “ Neh Neh Neh, I am leaving at 2.30 I can’t promise if I can take a look at your foot.” Immediately after she began face timing her family and calling her friends. Extremely arrogant and least helpful I would say. Visit the Erin mills podiatry right infront of it. Their staff is extremely patient and helpful.

Giving one stars because the owner was incredibly disruptive, rude and disrespectful during our appointment. We came in on time, got booked in and got into our room very quickly, which was nice and everything was going well until the owner came in and started questioning the doctors process and workstation and was being somewhat critical. She then started moving things around, causing medical instruments to be dropped, which resulted in them being thrown out, and she was also taking calls and leaving voicemails, which was inappropriate. Our appointment ended up going longer than expected, which seems to be due to the doctor being new and inexperienced, but the owner then took that as a call to kick us out and when we mentioned how she was acting, she became increasingly aggravated and essentially told us to not pay, leave and not come back. This place has a lot of good reviews and very little bad reviews so I feel like it may have just been a bad day for them and we happen to be on the receiving end of that energy but regardless, it’s unacceptable and we won’t be coming back.
