We had already diagnosed the problem as an ailing pump And also knew that the job was way beyond our capabilities. I called Maple leaf and got an appointment within two days. The repair man SLAVO showed up exactly when he was scheduled and within 30 minutes had fixed the problem and was on his way. Very happy with the work.

We had this company come out last December, and I was surprised by the cost at the time, but with it being so close to Christmas, we felt somewhat held hostage and had little choice. Recently, we had a similar issue with the igniter on our broiler. We contacted them again, and they agreed to come out to diagnose the issue, explaining that the $150 + tax call-out fee would be applied toward the overall repair cost. We were subsequently quoted $375 for the part and $450 for labour. I found the quote extremely high, so I did some research and found that the job typically takes around 30 minutes and that the igniter itself appeared to cost roughly $130–$160. When I questioned the pricing, I was told that they don't charge an hourly rate and that the $450 labour charge was their flat-rate price. I also asked whether the $375 parts charge included anything beyond the igniter, and was told that the parts were on back order. I understand that businesses have different pricing structures and overhead costs, but in this case, I simply couldn't justify the price being quoted for what appeared to be a relatively straightforward repair. This is not how I would choose to run a business, and unfortunately, we will not be using this company again. Based on our experience, I also would not recommend them to others.
