Today was my first visit to McCowan Foot Clinic after being referred by my family doctor for plantar fasciitis. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this clinic based on the care I received. My assessment was conducted by Deborah Dunphy. During my appointment, I repeatedly called out for assistance, but neither the staff nor Deborah responded. Eventually, I had to call my husband, who was waiting outside, and ask him to inform the receptionist that I was trying to get someone’s attention. When Deborah finally came in, I found her to be very rude and dismissive. I asked a few questions about my condition and treatment, but instead of addressing my concerns, she became irritated. At one point, she said, “Your doctor referred you, that’s why you’re here,” and also remarked that she had “40 years of experience, which is more than your age.” I found these comments unprofessional and disrespectful. At the end of the appointment, I was simply handed a printed sheet of exercises. There was no explanation or demonstration of how to perform them correctly, leaving me with little confidence in the treatment plan. To make matters worse, the initial assessment costs $75, and this was the level of care I received. For that fee, I expected a thorough assessment, clear explanations, and professional treatment—not to be rushed through the appointment and handed a sheet of paper without any guidance. Overall, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, and the appointment lacked the level of care and professionalism I expected. I left feeling that both my time and money had been wasted.

Booked for diabetic foot care. Confirmed my appt 3x. The only thing they said before the appt was to bring a list of medications. When I got there at 8am I was told they cannot do foot care as I have nail polish on my toes. They don't have anything to remove the polish. First of all they should have mentioned it in any of the 4 conversations I had with them. Just like when you go for mammogram "don't use any deodorant". Wasted my time. Will bring my business somewhere else.
