I am a retired police officer who had to leave the force due Complex PTSD. I took a medical retirement in 2019. I struggled with pretty much everything due to my mental health. My family and marriage were affected. I had no hobbies, social life. I’ve been doing therapy for years. Turns out I also have ADHD and Autism. So yay me! A year and a half ago, I was struggling so much that Veterans Affairs recommended OT. Man did that change my life. I met my OT Chelsea Gagnon who pretty much changed my life. She came to my home and showed compassion, empathy, professionalism and shared her amazing knowledge. She came my home to see what I needed and how she could assist me. It’s great to do therapy, but they give you tools that sometimes just cannot be implemented. Her incredible knowledge, passion and patience was amazing. Like I said, she was a game changer for me. I hit the jackpot with Chelsea too because or her wealth of knowledge on PTSD, but also ADHD and Autism. She understood the struggles I had with all three conditions feeding off each other and aggravating one another. With that in mind, she provided realistic methods and tools that could help me overcome most of my major issues like time management, motivation, social issues, managing overwhelm, anxiety and stress. She helped me with maintaining friendships, making peace with my limitations. She provided books and other resources to help understand and overcome many of my obstacles. She helped me develop strategies for issues that were affecting my parenting and marriage. Seems like she went above and beyond, that it was a lot more than OT that she was providing, and that it was all complicated. But the thing is, it was simple and flowed so well. She made solutions and tools easy to comprehend and implement. So she did exactly what she came to do, but she did it extremely well. I would recommend OT to anyone who’s struggling with PTSD. I would recommend Modern OT for the amazing work they have done for me. And I would recommend Chelsea for anyone who’s struggling with neurodivergence issues combined with PTSD. Thank you Chelsea!! Someone should give you a bonus or award at Modern OT.

It's not everyday that a place of business tells you that you're "fine as is" rather than just taking your money. I can't comment on the quality since I didn't have a splint made, but if it's anything like Catherine's honesty and integrity, I'm sure they are great! Highly recommend for truthful, professional advice. Thank you.

I saw Catherine Bray yesterday for a hand injury (A2 pulley on right hand middle finger). She was welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. Catherine answered all of my questions. She provided some advice that would help immediately as well as some information regarding longer term prognosis. I left with three custom made splints (two options for daytime and one for overnight) and exercises to aid in recovery. I'm to check back with her in 4 to 6 weeks to let her know how I'm doing and to possibly book a follow up appointment if needed.
