Senior Care Path Summary

Prairie Trail Physiotherapy offers comprehensive physiotherapy and manual therapy services suitable for older adults managing arthritis, back and neck pain, post-surgical recovery, and mobility challenges. The clinic features specialized programs for hip and knee replacements, surgical rehabilitation, and reconditioning, conditions common in seniors. In-home physiotherapy visits are available for those who cannot attend the clinic, making care accessible to seniors with mobility limitations or recovery needs.

The clinic's approach centres on active-based exercise therapy and hands-on treatment rather than passive machines, supporting seniors' goals of maintaining function and independence. Multiple physiotherapists hold advanced certifications and complementary qualifications (acupuncture, dry needling, manual therapy), enhancing their ability to treat chronic conditions and persistent pain that affect older adults.

Prairie Trail is conveniently located on the south end of Winnipeg at 1-1190 Taylor Avenue (Grant Park Festival) with extended weekday hours (7am–7pm) and seasonal Saturday appointments. The clinic is accepting new patients and offers online booking for convenience.

I give five stars to Humna. She’s knowledgeable and friendly, I feel very comfortable with her and will recommend her to friends and family. I take one star off because the receptionist is not very approachable and always seems mad.

Excellent experience at Prairie Trail Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic. I brought my elderly father for his appointment, and we were very impressed with the level of care and professionalism. The physiotherapist carefully assessed his condition, created a personalized exercise program, and clearly demonstrated every exercise. We also received helpful materials for home practice. The staff were kind, patient, and supportive throughout the visit. We are very grateful for the help and look forward to coming back next Saturday. Highly recommended!

I went in to see Humna for the first time thinking I had a bad bout of sciatica. After a few tests on my range of motion and my description of what I was experiencing, she was able to determine that it was a different nerve that was pinched. She walked me through some exercises to do and explained how she was going to modify the exercises as I progressed. The level of care she gave me was superb. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable, I would recommend Humna to anyone.
