Brought my very autistic 2 1/2 year-old child who could not communicate verbally son to Dr Thiessen, last summer. He was so patient, so kind and thorough as I had to concerns about squinting. He asked what my son likes, I said songs, he asked for a favourite. He sang wheels on the bus, go round and round with me for the entire appointment. This year, my son is doing better and has started communicating verbally but still very autistic. At his yearly checkup, Dr. Thiessen commented on how much better he could sit and participate. He brought up the wheels on the bus, I was so impressed he remembered the favourite song! He did a thorough check, and assessed concerns I had with my other child. I can’t say enough how impressed I am I would give more than five stars if I could!!
