I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Polonenko and the entire team at Visual Sense Eye Care for the exceptional care I have received throughout my recovery journey. Following a motor vehicle accident, I developed post-concussion symptoms and whiplash, including light sensitivity, visual fatigue, difficulty processing visual information, and challenges with reading and concentration. Before coming to this clinic, I did not fully understand how much a concussion can affect the visual system. Eye therapy has been one of the most important and often overlooked parts of my recovery. Through the personalized vision therapy program designed by Dr. Polonenko, I have noticed significant improvements in my visual awareness, reading ability, focus, memory, and confidence while driving. I am now much more aware of my surroundings, able to process visual information more efficiently, and experience less fatigue during daily activities. I especially appreciate that the exercises are tailored to each patient's specific needs. The memory and visual-processing exercises have been particularly helpful and have contributed greatly to my recovery. I am also extremely happy with my new Nikon prescription sport sunglasses. They provide outstanding clarity, excellent sun protection, and remarkable comfort for someone dealing with post-concussion light sensitivity. Whether I am cycling, driving, walking, paddleboarding, or simply enjoying time outdoors, they have made a tremendous difference. Another reason I continue to trust Visual Sense Eye Care is the accuracy of their prescriptions. Every prescription I have received has been precise and comfortable from the start. The quality of care, attention to detail, and expertise of the entire team consistently exceed my expectations. The staff are kind, professional, organized, and genuinely caring. This clinic understands that recovery from concussion requires treating the root causes, not just the symptoms. I highly recommend Dr. Polonenko, vision therapy, and the entire Visual Sense Eye Care team to anyone recovering from a concussion, whiplash injury, or visual processing challenges. Their expertise has helped me regain confidence, stay active, and continue moving forward in my recovery.

I have been seeing Dr. Tanya Polonenko for many years now and although I rarely write reviews, Dr. Polonenko and her staff deserve to be recognized for the exceptional care that they give. Dr. Polonenko provides a very thorough eye exam, takes the time necessary to answer any questions I have and is always very pleasant. Although the clinic is very busy, the staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful and I appreciate that. I never feel like just a number. The clinic has an extensive selection of glasses from which to choose and I find the optical staff well trained to suggest the frames best suited for me and my prescription requirements. The glasses I have specifically prescribed for my work at the computer are the best! I no longer get sore tired eyes at work. I always leave Visual Sense Eye Care having had a very positive experience and would highly recommend this clinic!

Holey smokes, after a MTBI my vision felt wildly unfermilliar to me, it would cause pain and confusion, couldn't stay on task, couldn't maintain focus. After a the sessions of vision therapy the issues became more manageable, they helped me build better tools to deal with the vision issues, which helped my brain interpret the information it was getting. Also how to regain command of my eyes. I will always appreciate the care and tools you helped me develop. I would be alot worse off had I not went thru vision theropy. Thanks a ton Brenda and Dr Polonanko. Great work!
