About

Adaptive Concepts Ltd produces the Lift2Go, an ultra-portable inclined platform lift that provides temporary wheelchair and mobility-aid accessibility over stairs. Based in Calgary, Alberta, they help seniors and visitors access multi-level locations quickly and easily.

Senior Care Path Summary

Adaptive Concepts Ltd manufactures the Lift2Go, a portable lift designed to help older adults and others using wheelchairs, scooters and mobility aids navigate stairs safely and independently. The lift assembles in minutes with no tools and requires no permanent building modifications.

The Lift2Go is easy to operate, designed for a single person to manage. Users need only 5.5 kg of lifting force to raise a maximum load of 340 kg, making it accessible even for those with limited strength. It can be transported in a minivan or SUV and set up at any location without external power.

This solution suits seniors who visit multi-level homes, community spaces or facilities and need reliable temporary access over stairs. Unlike permanent installations, the Lift2Go offers flexibility for short-term or visiting needs while maintaining independence and dignity for older adults with mobility challenges.

Thank you Graham and everyone at Adaptive Concepts for providing a lift so my sister who is palliative could spend Christmas with her family. This was such a Godsend! Without the lift there was no way for her to access my home. The lift was easy to install over my stairs and was very easy to use. I highly recommend Adaptive Concepts if you are looking for an affordable way to provide wheelchair access to your home.

My world changed when I broke my leg at the knee requiring surgery in May 2019. I needed to use a wheelchair for the next 2-3 months. It was a challenge to be a new wheelchair user because my house was not designed for a wheelchair. We have a small lot and there was not enough space for a traditional wheelchair ramp to fit in the front or back of the house. I couldn’t imagine how I was going to get out of the house in a wheelchair and how to get to my medical appointments without significant modifications. Then I was introduced to Adaptive Concepts who had a solution to allow me to get in and out of the house in a wheelchair using the Lift2Go Portable Wheelchair Lift. Graham Smith and his team at Adaptive Concepts quickly installed the Lift2Go and almost instantly my world changed for the better – I had access to the world again! I was able to easily operate the Lift2Go on my own immediately and I was able to get to my medical appointments that were necessary for me to get well. The first time I got outside using the Lift2Go after being housebound for week was pure joy. The Lift2Go gave me more options for my wellness to help me in my recovery. I could be outside in my backyard and enjoy the warm sun which was very nurturing, and I felt normal again enjoying a backyard BBQ with friends. Graham and his team at Adaptive Concepts were professional, caring, knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend the Lift2Go and you can trust that Graham Smith and his team at Adaptive Concepts because they will go above-and-beyond to meet your needs.
