August 1 Now that I've enjoyed and admired our shower for a few weeks, I've updated my rating. Bathfitters has been very responsive to our issues and in the end we have a good looking shower in our basement. the If I was rating Bathfitters (Oshawa) just on their office staff, I’d give them 5 Stars for their quick response time, but I’m not. We signed up to have them install new taps and work on the shower in our basement bathroom. We were informed it was a 2 day project - floor and taps installed day 1, walls and trim on day 2. Things started going south before work began with incorrect materials having been received for the floor. We agreed to accept mismatched floor material so that the project could proceed on schedule but refused the offer for alternate wall material on Day 2 when we were informed the wall material received was the incorrect height. The project was now delayed a week and a half pending receipt of materials. We explained to Bathfitters that we had no other usable shower facility in our home so they waterproofed around the taps and floor that were installed the previous day and granted a discount of approximately 5% to appease us. In all, our project took 5 weeks in which there were sporadic opportunities to shower and 9 days of mess and inconvenience of someone working here. It took 3 attempts before the shower floor was adhered properly and so that there was no standing water left behind. The installer seemed annoyed to be coming back the third time and ran out after leaving gobs of caulking and permanent marker behind for someone else to come and spend a day fixing along with redoing some shoddy work that had been done on the trim around the door. After testing things out we paid the balance owing. A couple of days later a plumber was sent to investigate the leak we discovered when the quarter round in our rec room had changed colour. When the shower was turned on water poured from behind the shower wall into the area below the stairs saturating the wood framing plus the bottom of the drywall and wood paneling in the rec room and carpet on the basement stairs. The plumber who came to find the source of the problem removed the shower head and said “how could they miss seeing this?” That was a Thursday, the leak was fixed the following Monday. Nobody showed us the supposedly faulty parts or the extent of the damage. The last Bathfitters person here filled nail holes and painted the pieces of paneling that had been removed from the rec room to fix the leak. This is just a summary of the 5 weeks of upheaval, sporadic showers and nine days sitting home with Bathfitters. Despite mention of a further rebate or refund, the last communication we had from Bathfitters merely said “thank you for your patience”. Good office staff and fixers. Not happy with the rest of the BS.

We had an old shower stall replaced by Bathfitter Oshawa - sooooooo happy with it!! From start to finish, this company is true to its word and its promises!! First contact was with Viviane - she’s super kind and extremely helpful - and that set the tone for the whole process! Kayla who I think runs the administrative part of the operation is soooooo sweet and sooooooo good at her job - just like Viviane - they explain everything very well And have excellent communication practices! Kory with a k / Johnson with no t (heehee - Kory will get that) was fabulous!! He did the installation of our beautiful new stall - had to rip out the old one - and we’re sooooo happy with how it looks!! Even the plumber that Kory got to come was excellent and he’s our new plumber! lol Craig came to do some finishing touches and he was equally excellent!! We are very grateful that Viviane’s team is top notch!! Bathfitter isn’t cheap by any means, BUT - like with anything in life, you get what you pay for. And with Bathfitter Oshawa, you get THE BEST!! This particular franchise did our bathtub 20 years ago and it still looks like new!! These installers REALLY know their stuff and you are guaranteed an excellent final product!! Between the admins and the installers, it’s just FANTASTIC!! Thx BF Oshawa!! ❤️🙏🏻‼️OMG - I forgot Sebastien!! Sebastien came to our home twice at the start - he explained everything and did a fantastic job of sizing it all up - he was so kind and professional - he sold me on doing it by promising top notch work and the Bathfitter team delivered! So thank you Sebastien!! ❤️🙏🏻

Kory Johnson really pulled through in advocating for us to be contacted prior to installation due to a gradient issue that resulted in a tile change. He also was willing to return to our home on more than one occasion to ensure installation was done properly after some plumbing hiccups. His accountability and approachability was genuinely appreciated in comparison to the difficulty we faced with Vivienne of the admin staff, whom was deflective with the concerns we had during the process. A big thank you to Kory and all his efforts!
