We have been dealing with Motion for over a year after my husband suffered a spinal cord injury. Various staff from sales, service, parts and the in home service team have interacted with our family with various products and services we have needed. Without exception they have been a pleasure to deal with. They are knowledgeable, eager to help and flexible with their time. We are so happy to be able to recommend this company to anyone in need of these kinds of services.

Tessa is an absolute gem and you should know what an asset to your company she is. The experience we had with her from beginning to end (and not really the end, we will definitely have further business with her for years to come) was just wonderful. And the service that we received from Cam, the technician, was just fantastic. Not only did he configure my new ride to the requests I had post-delivery, but he also tuned-up my old ride to almost factory standards, in my opinion. Thank you, Tessa & Cam, for a delightful experience at Motion!

I have not had a satisfying time dealing with this shop (Victoria). My father was told he needed a wheelchair when leaving the hospital. We went to Motion and rented one after describing his size and needs. The woman we rented it from told us she would go to the home where he was being moved and make sure it was properly adjusted for him. She didn't do that. When we asked my father (who is deep in the throws of dementia), he said it was okay. We didn't know it had not been fitted to him, and he couldn't remember. It was clear that he was always going to be wheelchair bound so, we decided that we would buy the chair since renting was $250 a month, and it looked like he would be needing it for much longer than four months. We settled on about $1250 for the chair and cushion (it was a second hand wheelchair). A couple weeks later we got a call from the nursing staff saying the chair was not the correct size and needed adjusting. We called the store only to find out that it had never been fitted. They said it was our fault because they didn't know the room number? It's a small LTC facility. No one called us and asked for a room number to go and do the fitting. They simply didn't put any effort into doing what was promised. Then a couple days later a nurse and an occupational therapist told us the chair was not suitable and he needed a different chair. When I told the store that, they said that the chair we had bought less than two months ago could not be returned or exchanged towards a more suitable chair. The original chair still has not been adjusted to best fit my Dad. I'll let you decide whether you think that was a good way to run a business. Edit: When questioned about why I couldn't trade in the ill fitting wheelchair, I was told, "…if the situation were an exchange for a wheelchair of similar type, value, and age, we would certainly consider that option. In this case, however, the therapist is recommending a completely different category of wheelchair…". Figure that one out!
