About

Tub-Pro specializes in bathtub reglazing, refinishing, spot repairs, and Safeway Step bathtub-to-shower conversions across Southern Ontario and the greater Toronto area, with factory-certified technicians and a written warranty.

Senior Care Path Summary

Tub-Pro helps older adults stay safely in their own homes through affordable Safeway Step bathtub-to-shower conversions, which eliminate the high step that makes bathtubs risky for seniors with mobility challenges. The process takes just three to four hours, and customers can shower within two hours of completion. One customer specifically noted how the conversion made it much easier for aging parents to enter and exit the shower safely.

The company has been in business since 2009 and serves over 2,000 customers annually. All work is backed by a written warranty, giving seniors confidence in the longevity of their modifications. Tub-Pro also handles bathtub refinishing to restore worn or damaged surfaces, which can improve safety by removing slippery or uneven areas where falls might occur.

The team consists of factory-certified technicians who use low-VOC coating materials that are safe for seniors and the environment. Customer testimonials highlight professionalism and attention to detail. The company is fully insured with WSIB coverage and operates across Southern Ontario, including Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto, and surrounding areas.

Tub Pro did my Tub. The technician damaged the glaze on my tile. Tub Pro charged me to repair it - to repair the damage their staff caused! That was almost 3 years ago. The patch has now failed and Tub Pro has not responded to requests to honor their 5 year warranty. I have now used a competitor with a longer warranty and a bit more cost. Lesson in this is not to go cheap and say no to Tub Pro.

Looked nice at first. However after less than 3 years the enamel is chipped, peeling and stained. We have not excessively used the tub, or used any harsh chemicals or scrubs so are surprised that it didn’t last long. When we replaced the caulking around the tub, we realized that the glaze had gone over previous caulking and the entire tub was not actually glazed. Seems like something that probably should have been considered and addressed

We used Tub Pro/Belvedere Coatings to re finish our tub a few months ago. The scheduler, Elizabeth is responsive and helpful even with issues, but the job that has been done each of the 4 times they have had to come back now is not well done. Jake came to do our tub and did not repair the chip the first time, lack of attention to detail and overall done poorly. 2 weeks later came back to fix it and instead of redoing it, just tried to patch the job. I honestly can't remember all of the appointments to fix it, but in each there were many excuses and I felt lied too. Apparently they cannot send a different tech successive times to repair the problems, so back with Jake we were. We are still going through the process of having it done right. The tub is not sealed smoothly, but alas I will let that one go. For the caulking, this last time instead of removing the caulking and then re applying, the new caulking was put on top of the old and cracked layer. Try telling a professional caulker that's not how you are supposed to caulk... I wish we never went with this company, as their employees are not the right hires at least on the tech front. Edit to add it is now almost a year later, and have been waiting for "the manager" to come by to correct it. We are no longer getting any replies from this company, and haven't heard back from our numerous texts since May. I recommend avoiding this company at all costs.
