After struggling to find reliable companionship for my mother on my own (In Innisfail and then subsequently in Olds), I decided to reach out to business that offers this service. After several calls with various companies, I had a great conversation with Robyn at A Friend Indeed and decided to go with them. It was the best decision for my mom and I. Robyn hired individuals who were committed, reliable, and trustworthy. Their companionship for my mom was invaluable and I am so thankful I had them for support for not only my mom, but for myself. Companionship aside, the company itself has great communication and is very transparent, and they always made sure we were always on the same page without being asked. Would absolutely recommend Robyn and her team to anyone who was looking for a friend / companion for themselves or a family member.

A Friend Indeed was a lifesaver for me and my brother. I lived 2.5 hours away and i very much appreciated having a friend visit my brother weekly. His was well matched with his friend and she always came prepared with books and things that matched his interests. She was not only a friend to my brother, she was peace of mind to me. I knew he had something to look forward to every week especially when i was away and couldn’t visit as frequently. I highly recommend A Friend Indeed.

My father was diagnosed with Dementia in 2022. He was single on his own for over 30 years. He was very active and did not take to the memory care facility very well . After such frustration with not being able to take him for walks everyday we were advised by another residents family to try “ A Friend Indeed.”….Best decision we ever made. We hired them within 6 months to have our friend Come twice a week for 2 hours each visit. Not only did my father enjoy his visits and walks but our amazing Gail came up with all kinds of activities to do with him inside in winter and bad weather. Unfortunately 3 years later with his dementia progressing dad just wasn’t on a position anymore to be able to enjoy his visits anymore . However the 3 and 1/2 years we had our Friend Indeed supporting us was the best decision we made. I highly recommend this business and Robyn the owner was wonderful to deal with! ****** 5 out of 5 stars
