Alexander Place is fantastic! My elderly mother has been there for only 4 months now but she’s doing so well. They are so caring and attentive which gives us peace of mind. She tells me all the time that she’s spoiled there and that’s wonderful to hear. We were so nervous about finding the right place and now we wouldn’t want her anywhere else. Very pleased with all staff and procedures. Highly recommend. ❤️ During covid-19, they have been arranging FaceTime calls so we can still see my Mom. So grateful. Update! My Mom has been here for 8 months now and she’s very happy. Says she has never been so well taken care of and that she wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It warms my heart to hear this. They really do care and treat their residents like family. UPDATE: September 4, 2021! Mom 93, still here and happier than ever. Made it through the pandemic so far and she’s doing wonderfully. Alexander Place has been fantastic through these difficult times. I see such genuine love and care with all of the staff here. I know my Mom feels loved. That’s everything to me and my family. Thank you AP. ❤️ UPDATE: November 2024 my Mom passed away and the Doctor made it the worst experience ever. The nurses and PSW’s were wonderful as always but Dr. Jerome was horrible. She wouldn’t give my mother the proper meds to take her out of pain. She didn’t know how to control end of life agitation. She spoke horribly to me and my sisters accusing us of being the reason for my mom’s agitation. She ridiculed us for having emotions during her death. Dr. Jerome had no idea how to handle end of life care. Please consider taking your loved one to a hospice if you have a family member dying at Alexander place. Dr. Jerome also discontinued my mother’s water pill for two months before her death and my mom ended up in hospital with lungs and body full of fluids. She had no clue what was wrong with her. Please check the medications your loved one is on if Dr. Jerome is their doctor. We took the list to a professional and many doses of drugs had to be changed. My mother was over medicated with antipsychotics to the point of being almost unconscious hanging out of her wheelchair unable to speak. We brought down the dose and she was fine after that. I’m sorry to say the last 6 months of my mother’s life were very difficult due to that doctor.

My Mother is here and they keep her busy! Lots of activities to choose from, AMAZING staff. All of my concerns have been dealt with quickly and with great communication, empathy and understanding. The nurses and PSW'S are loving and compassionate. The grounds are beautiful with access to a public walking path right next to the building. Going from independence to long term care can't be easy but this is a great place!

The extra star is cause staff are great or it would be one, but as for the home, your loved one isn't dead an hour and they basically tell you to get their stuff and get out. There is zero empathy for your grieving they just want to fill that spot so that they can keep getting money.
