My mother, Faye, spent almost five years in Memory Care at Amica Edgemont Village. The care was extraordinary. I sincerely felt staff genuinely loved her and it was sad to move her to be closer to us on Vancouver Island. If there was an Amica in the Comox Valley we would have seriously considered it, but there isn't. Dementia is a challenging disease and the first several months were quite rocky. However, Faye settled in eventually, thanks to the patient care she received. Communication with the family was prompt, especially during the pandemic. Special mention to Noche, MJ, Sandra, Paz, and Akiko. Care is expensive here and can be quite a financial strain for some families, but it is worth it. One final note: management was slow in refunding an over payment after the move out--taking more than two months to process--but we did receive it in the end and all is good. Thanks to the team for their dedicated work!

Amica was a great place for my mother to spend her days. Everyone treated her very well and showed compassion and love. Even though she was confined to her residence due to COVID there was always someone to check in on her. The staff are very accommodating to requests and go above and beyond what is required of them. Tim and Roland were run off their feet but still took time to talk to you. Erica and staff diverted a moving day disaster by accommodating our move day even though they were provided the wrong day. The concierge team always had a smile on their faces. Thanks to everyone. We felt comfort in knowing my mother was well taken care of. Carol

Our parents moved into Amica Edgemont Village four years ago when they needed assistance with their daily lives. They were provided with excellent care by the staff who are always so kind to them. As their needs increased, our family really appreciated the round-the-clock services that ensured our parents were safe and had everything they needed. We were very impressed by all the safety measures the Amica implemented regarding Covid-19 to ensure the residents are safe and protected. We are very glad that our family made the decision for the move. The Amica became another family to us.
