Chartwell and Churchill both begin with the letter "C", and so do care, compassion, courtesy, cooperation, camaraderie, celebration, comradeship, communication and "c"indness - all found in abundance at Churchill. My 16 months at Churchill have been wonderful, with Dining Room staff, personal care attendants, room cleaners, front desk personnel and management all contributing to making my latter years so enjoyable, so much fun, so productive and so rewarding. I heartedly recommend Churchill House.

My folks, Paula and Phil, have lived at Chartwell Churchill House for almost 3 years now. While they were a little resistant to make the transition to assisted living in the beginning, they now see it as a total blessing. Their suite is beautiful and spacious with two bedrooms, allowing out of town family to stay with them for short stays, and it accommodates my mother's baby grand piano. The meals have been quite good, with good variety and nutrition. The staff take the cake, though. The service staff in the dining room have all taken the time to learn my parents' names and their kids' names. They treat my folks like they are celebrities, and welcome their guests with open arms. The front desk staff are also wonderful... always helpful, and have rallied by going the extra distance when we needed some extra support. The cleaning staff are super friendly and kind... and are flexible when we need it. The programming for entertainment and health is more than sufficient with good variety and care. My mom's health was in decline more than we realized going in, and my dad has been courageously and lovingly looking after her. It's a lot to manage, and being in Churchill House has brought him a lot of relief knowing the food is good, the property is safe, comfortable and well-maintained, the community is kind and compassionate, the staff are good at what they do. Being close to Lions Gate Hospital has also been a plus. It's a lovely neighbourhood, and really easy to get to by transit from the airport.

Jen welcomes everyone with a ready smile at the Churchill House front desk. She is already ready to help and makes everyone feel good. And the dining room staff at Churchill House make an amazing team! Rona, Sharon, Murtaza and Norya are all kind and helpful. They always make us feel welcome when we visit our mum and we enjoy the pleasant banter with them. On my birthday, they went out of their way to decorate the table, bring a special dessert with a candle, and sing happy birthday, making our family party very special. They take a personal interest in our mum and are always attentive. Thank you to the staff for making Churchill House a place where Mum is happy and we are able to continue family get togethers.
