Through Always Best Care senior services, I was permitted to put on a Fall Risk Clinic at Doon Village Retirement Residence. It was very encouraging to see the staff promoting wellbeing, community, activity and education.

Our parents have known each other since they were children and will be celebrating their 75 wedding anniversary this year. They worked hard their whole lives saving for a rainy day. Now in their 90's they reluctantly decided it was time to leave the house they loved and compromise their independence and the rainy day was upon them. Imagine their relief when what they found at Doon Village was an opportunity to retain some of their independence by taking advantage of the amazing support and kindness of the staff at Doon Village. The concern and kindness shown to not only my parents but to all of us as a family has far exceeded our expectations and we came with very high expectations. From the staff that greet you at the door to the wait staff in the dining room, the people in the kitchen, the Wellness team, management and everyone else at Doon Village they present the impression that they are always looking for ways to make the residents feel welcome, comfortable and safe. Thank you from all of the family.

my quality of life is positive here in Doon Village. I can talk with people in the home. I enjoy the activities, food and neighbours. I am not getting any younger and Doon Village is helping live my life the way i can in my Golden Years.
