We recently had to move my elderly mother from her house where she had lived for 50 years, with the last 8 years being on her own. It was a forced move due to the onset of dementia and many other issues that had cropped up that made it no longer safe for her to live in a large house alone. There were not many options for her due to the care required for her dementia and a companion cat that had to move with her. We decided on Aspira Stonebridge Crossing because they offered services matched to each individual’s ongoing care needs. We were pleased that it was a secure facility which welcomed family members and friends to visit. It was a very tough first month for her, since she was taken out of her familiar solo environment and moved into a communal residence with a totally different style of living. Once she became more comfortable with her new routine, she started to rely on it. She requires a morning reminder and personal escort for lunch and dinner, as well as an evening reminder for bedtime. As her needs progress, we can add on services as required. She very much enjoys the meals, prepared with nutrition in mind by the executive chef and his team. The dining room staff are very attentive to each individuals wants and needs. There are a variety of daily activities available to residents and something for most everyone. My mother is hard of hearing and has low vision, so we choose what she is able to enjoy. The Resident Assistants and all the other staff are very patient and kind, doing whatever they can to give the residents an enjoyable experience in their new home. We enjoy spending time with my mother in the Bistro, where there is access to a hot beverage machine, baking and fruit, making it a special place for residents to mingle with their company. We have used several other quiet areas for visits, as well as a private dining room for family dining. It is a comfort for us that there is a nurse on duty most of the time, since we have had to use their services on several occasions for my mother. A doctor visits once a week. This has saved us from taking my mother out for unnecessary medical appointments in the cold weather. We have found that the front desk managers are key to making the days go smoothly. They are special people who are skilled at problem solving and answering questions for the residents and families. I recommend taking a tour, bringing along your questions to find out if Stonebridge Crossing fits the needs of your precious family member.

I want to give the team a thumbs up and a 5 Star review! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Started with a girl (Ashlan) (Sales Advisor) who gave us a tour around the facility and found us a room for our mom. She was very friendly and pleasant. Thank you Ashlan!! Then met (Mitesh) who is a new manager to the facility and is a stand up and nice guy. (Mitesh) will make the necessary changes that the home will need to move into the next phase. He is very friendly, kind and compassionate. Great edition to the care needed! Thanks Mitesh!! This is a very hard transition for your parent to move into a place in the last chapter of their life. So you have to make the right choice. I would recommend taking a tour of this facility and meeting the team. Spend a couple hours at the facility and see what goes on. Pray 🙏. you make the correct choice. If you have questions get in touch with me. I don’t mind! I want to also mention (Delores) who is the coordinator/front desk person who is extremely friendly and learns your name quickly. Plus Evelyn! She is also Fantastic! Thanks Delores and Evelyn! Matthew the maintenance coordinator is also amazing and comes and fixes things ASAP! Thanks Matt I have spent time a lot of time with the residents that live there. Hope to know them (all) over the next chapter. So many nice seniors that reside in this facility! We actually call it the “Palace” Great Food! They eat an extremely well balanced diet! Lots of extra’s! They actually do a Birthday party for each of the residents Birthdays! Pretty impressive! They also have a guy that does Hair in the facility named Allan. Just a wonderful guy and so good with the residents! Fairly priced as well! *** "WARNING" DO NOT GIVE YOUR LOVE ONES ANY (CASH) OR BRING ANY VALUABLES!!! Thanks RJ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

While transitioning to a new home can be hard, Stonebridge Crossing has made this move as easy as possible for my mom. They have been attentive to her needs, friendly and caring. She has processed from being sad, grieving the loss of this change, to now being content and even happy.
