Great staff. Good support for my 95 year old father in their Unassisted wing. Lots of activities and special events.

I am sharing the deep frustration and disappointment of my grandmother, who recently lost her sister while she was a resident at this Carewest facility. Following her passing, a nurse or HCA named Raven posted a comment on her obituary stating, “She was very difficult to work with, but she’s in a better place.” This comment was profoundly unprofessional and hurtful. My grandmother’s sister struggled with significant mental illness, which understandably presents additional challenges in care. That does not, in any way, justify such a public and disrespectful remark, especially toward someone who has passed away and whose family is grieving. I am a 3rd year nursing student, and I was genuinely shocked to hear this. Healthcare professionals are taught to provide care with compassion, respect, and dignity to all patients, even after death. Expressing personal frustrations or negative attitudes publicly about a patient reflects a serious lapse in professionalism. If a healthcare worker feels it is acceptable to share such comments about a patient, particularly in a public forum and toward a grieving family, they should seriously reconsider their role in caring for vulnerable individuals. Additionally, my grandmother found that all staff members she encountered while attempting to collect her sister’s personal belongings were dismissive and uncooperative. This experience only compounded an already painful situation. I am truly disappointed in the lack of professionalism demonstrated by the employees at this facility.
