I can't even provide 1 star. If I could give a minus zero, I would. My mother had the unfortunate experience of spending the last 10 months of her life there in this miserable filthy place and was essentially neglected. They took $3,000.00 per month and failed her in every way. She was treated worst than an animal in a shelter. I visited every weekend because of the long distance of 4 hour drive. I must hold the staff accountable for a minimum of care. I would clean her room every weekend. Her food was unappealing. My mother had Alzheimers and mobility issues. She required assistance to use the washroom and shower. They were very mean and abusive to her. I wish today I made a different decision. I would ask the staff for assistance when I was there as they were the trained professionals and my poor mother was left waiting sometimes for an hour for relief. Most PSW's who I actually thought was good, was actually liars and abusers and were never reprimanded for not properly showering the people in their care, but simple hosing them off. Such indignity to these poor elderly souls. Our elderly loved ones deserve so much better. They pay a lot of money for care. Do not put your loved ones in Cassellholme Long-TermCare. My mother had a fall there that sent her to hospital, with broken hip. where her last days were spent in agony. Her death was ruled accidental and I fully blame Cassellholme Long-Term Lack of Care and the government neglect for this, and failed to provide dignified care. I cried out so often to help my mother, no one help. I hate Cassellholme Long-Term Care.

I wouldn’t have my own parents or grandparents live here and I pray whoever is in charge of my care when I become unable to care for myself never sends me here. What a terrible place the staff are incredibly incompetent and neglectful and the upper management couldn’t care less.

Caring, intelligent and attentive staff in all areas of service to your family member or friend that calls Cassellholme home are found here. I knew my sister was deeply cared for and about each day no matter her mood or condition. Really outstanding staff.
