If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My grandmother was in critical condition and the staff/Doctors refused to call an ambulance… my grandmother was dying and they didn’t care. My grandmother died shortly after. We refused to do palliative care in this shit hole. I went back the next day to retrieve some of my grandmothers belongings and was bombarded by a “caregiver” saying she was sorry and wished they handled the situation differently. My first thought was YOU WISH? Someone is dead and you’re giving me this bullshit. Please do not let your loved ones stay here… it’s gut wrenching that a place that is supposed to take care of your loved ones is capable of this kind of neglect. Shame on you. I hope this place gets shut down so no other families need to suffer.

The greatest strength of Extendicare Cedars isn't the building—it's the people. My mom lives there, and every time I visit I'm reminded how much genuine compassion, patience, and respect the staff show to every resident. Knowing she's safe, cared for, and treated with dignity brings me incredible peace of mind. Thank you to every member of the Cedars team for the work you do every day. It can't always be easy, but it makes all the difference to families like mine. Forever grateful.

My Mom was moved here from a lengthy wait in hospital about 4 months ago. Although the building is old, rooms are small, and they are behind on some maintenance issues.... overall the care my Mom receives from staff is excellent. All staff I have encountered have been very caring and very compassionate to her needs. I am especially thankful for Doreen in Maple. Thank you Cedar Villas care team!
