  At the end of my 2nd year as a resident at Chartwell Harbours, I thought a formal review of this facility might be helpful. If you are looking for an independent/supported living residence for yourself, a family member or a friend, I can heartily recommend this pleasant residence. • Apartments available: Studio, 1 Bedroom w/den, and 2 Bedroom • Aspect: Lake-facing apartments overlook the courtyard and provide a splendid viewing area for activities during special occasions. The front-facing apartments offer a beautiful night time view of the lights from the neighbourhood Shopping Centre, which is within a comfortable walking distance. This is a perfect exercise and the Centre features popular shopping spots and dining opportunities. • We also have a Tuck Shop, open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1PM to 2PM, staffed by resident volunteers. • No need to go off-site, however, as we daily have wonderful meals which are nutritious, healthy, balanced and sized well for a senior appetite. Our weekly menus afford everyone an opportunity to opt for something different, if desired. The daily menus are very tempting, with a soup, salad w/choice of dressing, main course and a tasty dessert. • Activities: Our Healthy Living staff provides indoor and outdoor opportunities to mingle with other residents and we are encouraged to invite our family and friends for special occasions in the various seasons. Residents can sign up for appointment outings and shopping excursions, as well as for special outings to popular Calgary and vicinity spots. Transportation is provided. Indoor activities are varied and lots of fun. • Library, theatre, card room, craft room. Laundry room on each floor. • Rates: Competitive with rates in the area. • Staff: The staff at Chartwell is friendly and approachable, making residents feel very much at home. It truly is a pleasure to live here! Come join us! My review from April 2024: I have been at Chartwell now for approximately 7 weeks and I am loving it. I am an independent person, but knew that eventually, I would need more help with my daily living needs. Well, that day has come and I could not recommend a better place than ChartwMell Harbours. The staff are friendly and willing to accommodate one's extra needs. The suites are sized to suit a bachelor, and a one or two bedroom suite, all at reasonable prices. Many services are included, along with lunch and dinner. Which brings up the next point. The meals are terrific, so be prepared for tasty, nutritious meals served by a friendly and jovial staff. The menu is varied, and options are available to accommodate the various tastes. Take the word of a contented resident...you will love it, too!!

  We absolutely LOVE playing for the people at Chartwell!! We can tell it’s an awesome place because the staff and the residents are eo enthusiastic and love to dance and sing along with us!! Can’t wait to come back!! Harbour

  A Wonderful Place to Call Home! We chose Charwell Harbours for my Mother... Chartwell Harbours Retirement Residence is truly an exceptional place. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff here are absolutely amazing—kind, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure residents are happy and comfortable. The people who live here create such a friendly and supportive community, making it a joy to be part of. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and peaceful living environment. The location is fantastic, offering both convenience and beautiful surroundings. The food is another highlight—delicious, well-prepared, and varied, making every meal something to look forward to. Plus, the activities available are top-notch! There’s always something fun and engaging happening, from social events to fitness programs and entertainment. Chartwell Harbours is more than just a retirement residence—it’s a vibrant and caring community that truly feels like home.
