  I have been exploring Home Care options for my dad who is currently in Meaford. I met with someone at the Owen Sound Hospital and have not heard back from the organization after several attempts of sending emails and calling their office. Extremely unprofessional and obvious that they do not want to help anyone.

  We have been using First Light Home Care to provide companion care for my mother-in-law since the beginning of the year. Mum has been living independently, and the twice a week visits were about helping her socialize, be more active, and help with organizing simple appointments. Then suddenly my mother-in-law fell and broke her arm, and when she was ready to leave hospital, she was suddenly going to need help everyday with basic things like getting dressed and tricky things like exercises for the broken arm to help healing. I called Karen at First Light Home Care on a Wednesday, and Thursday morning help was there for Mum. The diligent and caring staff have helped my mother-in-law not only function, but laugh and keep her spirits up in these very trying times. I work in health care, I have worked on some very strong teams, but the group Karen has put together simply amazes me. Thank you Karen!
