Grace Hospice opened in January 2004 and is an 18,000 square foot facility offering 12 spacious resident rooms, each equipped with a television, microwave, coffee maker, telephone, private bathroom with shower, and pull-out sofa bed for family members.

The facility features a chapel, dining room, children's play area, sun room, and patio, with each resident room providing a view of the grounds and Sturgeon Creek. Residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms with items from their own homes.

The Hospice is staffed by nurses, resident aides, clerical staff, dietary personnel, spiritual caregivers, and volunteers.

Care includes 24-hour nursing, on-site food preparation tailored to resident preferences, housekeeping services, telephone and computer access, and medication management through the Manitoba Health Pharmacy Drug Access Program.

Community physicians and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's Palliative Care program collaborate with the hospice team.

The daily rate is $30 per diem, payable at the end of each month. This includes 24-hour nursing care, all meals prepared on-site, housekeeping, phone and computer access, and in-room amenities.

Visitors are welcome and encouraged throughout a resident's stay, with accommodations provided for family members.
