My mother ( with dementia ) has been there now for over a year ( Birch ) and i never thought id be so pleased with LTC . The year prior to her moving there she was in a retirement home and was in hospital for a week once a month for 10 months straight . Since moving into Hastings she had one stay early in the game where it was determined she was aspirating and getting pneumonia, proper dietary measures were taken. Since ( knock on wood ) she has been great and the staff go above and beyond to keep in constant contact if that is what you want . i can't say enough good things about hasting manor and the staff .
