It's a beautiful, serene place for loved ones. My husband spent 4 months here during his illness and this facility was a god send for us. We lost EVERYTHING in a house fire and I was a total mess not knowing what I was going to do. We no longer had our home or our cherished pets to comfort him and I; he wanted to die at home, that was the plan. We Care hospice accepted him and I with open arms and it was a huge relief for me knowing that he would be cared for properly while I couldn't . I had so many things to deal with after the fire and I could not be with him everyday. They cared for him with compassion, dignity, and patience. He and I spent the Summer in the garden and it brought us both peace, serenity, and a lovely place to make our final memories together. We were treated like family at a time when we needed it the most. My husband passed November 25, 2025. This was an excruciating journey and the support we received was impeccable. This facility is totally funded by the donations they received and so many wonderful volunteers that give their time serving meals to the patients. They are outstanding people and will make your loved ones final days peaceful and calm. I will forever be grateful for each and every person that opened their hearts to us.

My mother in law is currently a resident at this facility. She has been for roughly 7 weeks. To become a resident you must be dying, and to our understanding less than 6 months left. Yesterday she was told she is being sent back to the hospital because she is doing better than she was when she arrived. Wait, what? Shes’s not dying anymore? No she is… just not fast enough to be a patient at this facility. This is the same facility that told us a month ago that “she had weeks left” Weeks… not months. So what happened? Why is she being sent back to the hospital all of a sudden. I know! I’ll call the facility and find out. “Nope… we can’t talk to you. You are not listed as a person we can give information to. Have that person give you permission and we will tell you what is going on”. Fine we get that. Rules are rules. 1st thing the next morning. That person gives permission. Great! Now we can get answers. NOPE. The Doctor refuses to pick up the phone and relays a message saying “ we need to have a family meeting”. A family what? Who’s family? mine? Cause last time I checked you are not a member. But we are! We live 4 hours away in Toronto. You can’t even pick up the phone? This is just crazy to me. Can you imagine how many questions we have and they will not tell us anything? Why tell us to get added to the list and then not share what you promised? She literally has no time left and you are making the time she does have more stressful. Before booking your stay here make sure your doctor gets your best before date right. Otherwise they will ship you back to die in a hospital room rather than the comfortable room you thought would be your last. They made me leave one star. Give that one to the cook
