This place is beautiful and peaceful inside. The staff here are very kind and compassionate. They took the best care of my mom in her final days. They even packed up her belongings for us. Thank you so much.

Update june2024: its almost 11 months now and my questions aren't being answered. I have pasted below my previous reviews which have been suppressed. I've asked for copies of records but only get the runaround. I gave up the fight due to exhaustion but my mind won't let it go. When I found out that in 2024, 1 in 20 deaths in Canada are due to MAID, I fell into a feeling I didn't enjoy. I feel the need to warn you just incase my gut isn't lying. Nothing about this is peaceful. Plz read below and I 🙏 for you and your family. I will regain my strength and my family will continue the fight for answers. Original post: At first I was impressed. The gardener and chef are absolutely amazing!! It seemed like a peaceful place. I spoke to counselor about my concerns and fears. She made me feel better but she lied to me. They made my biggest fear come true and now I'm suffering. My mom was not in pain so why were they pumping her full of hydromorph every 4 hours? Beware, I knew something was wrong when my mom asked to go to hospital a few times. I didn't listen. They also told me not to offer her water because she will choke. This made no sense to me. So the result was to fill her with drugs to make her unresponsive and without water they will die in 3-4 days. My mom held on for 10 days. It was Torture. The drugs stopped her heart. She didn't die of cancer. Also when we asked questions they treat you like a stupid child that won't understand what they say. I stayed with her until the end. I saw it all.. she did go quiet but I guess that's the point. They only give them food or drink only when they ask for it. It's not regular. One more thing, hospice is for people who have 3 months or less to live so why are they offering MAID? They are dieing anyways and if you commit Suicide you go straight to hell. This whole thing should be questioned. Oh and they don't call you afterwards to check up. I'm glad because I would not be nice.. love your family and please listen to every word. God bless Update- its been 3 months now and still no one contacted me. So much for bereavement help. Considering this was my first death experience, it was my mom, and I was with her when she passed. They knew all this. I looked at their website again and couldn't believe the evil sell of their services. (But I understand that this is good for some) The worst thing is it says they offer palliative care, but they only offer end-of-life care. It is supposed to be a NATURAL death. They do not Recessitate. Also, about the MAID program, I'm confused because it takes a minimum of 90 days for approval. Also It shouldn't be advertised by them. A patient needs to request it directly from their doctor. I think it's important to tell you this. this isn't easy, but they didn't need to make it harder. I would have done things differently. Bless you and your family
