  I am very fortunate that a bed became available for my father. The staff have been very helpful with his transition to an assisted living facility while helping him maintain his autonomy. The facility looks clean and well maintained and the nurses attentive. There are a few different dining rooms as well as a barber shop on site. The sunrooms are delightful but the courtyard garden is our favorite. We’ve enjoyed a few coffees there in the autumn sunshine. While his admission to Agecare is new, our experience thus far has been a welcome improvement to the hospital. (I wish I got better photos) Update: this place is under new management. I am unsure of their future plans/value.

  My grandfather lived here when it was under previous ownership and afterwards (in early 2026) was told he had to move elsewhere (with only a few months left to live) because they original "couldn't renew their lease." That is what the family was told anyways. I'm not sure the truth and reasons.. but because of this I have revised my rating to 1* for poor treatment of elderly and the vulnerable.. Especially sad in a country where so many people work their entire lives, pay heavy taxes in the hope to have the help they need when they are older and need it.. This is the first I see that it is rebranded to Lilyglen by Optima Living. Shameful.

  My mom became a resident at AgeCare Glenmore 4 months ago and we recently flew cross-country to see her. Prior to our visit, my interaction with the staff had been solely via email and phone calls, as we do not live in Calgary. However, I had frequent communication with the various departments, and it was consistently professional, yet warm and friendly. My mom’s transition to long term care was extremely difficult for her but I was regularly informed of her progress, and I was encouraged to contact the facility to address any concerns. I was particularly impressed with the fact that the staff was always available to discuss issues that arose, and all this was done long distance. We spent a great deal of time with my mom during our visit and were able to assess the level of care she is receiving first-hand. The facility is an older one, but it is very clean, safe and well-run. What makes AgeCare Glenmore special is the wonderful people who work there. If I could characterize the care with one word, it would be “compassion”. My mom is treated with dignity and respect while all her needs are attended to by a network of people who truly care. My mom entered AgeCare a frail and weak woman, both physically and emotionally. Today, four months later, she considers AgeCare Glenmore her home and the staff her close friends. The fact that she is happy is testament to the team of hard-working and compassionate individuals who have helped her regain her strength and have lifted her spirits. Thank you to everyone at AgeCare Glenmore whose dedication and love has given my 92-year-old mom a new lease on life.
