It may seem unusual to write a review for a hospice, but I wanted to share our experience for families who may one day find themselves needing the care and support of a place like this. My brother spent his final days here, and although his stay was short, the staff, nurses, and volunteers provided exceptional care—not only for him, but for our entire family. We are a large, close-knit family, and every person we encountered treated us with kindness, compassion, and respect during an incredibly difficult time. When my brother passed away, the staff held a brief but beautiful memorial, with many team members joining us to honor his life. It was a touching gesture that meant so much to our family. If you have a loved one who may need hospice care, I want you to know that they will be in caring and capable hands here. While nothing can make losing someone easy, the people at this hospice help ease the burden with their compassion and support. On a side note, hospices rely heavily on donations to continue providing these important services. If you are looking for a meaningful organization to support, I know they would greatly appreciate your contribution so they can continue giving such amazing care.

If there ever was a silver lining it has to be incredible and caring staff and homeliness that comes with Margaret Bahen Hospice. As soon as I walked through the doors, it was like a load has been lifted off of our shoulders. Saying goodbye to a love one, in this case my mom, is never easy. After six weeks at SouthLake Regional Health Centre we had an opportunity to transfer her to the hospice. All the comforts of a hotel room for our loved one and family, compassionate and caring staff and volunteers, and beautiful facilities and gardens. Every time we had to leave the hospice, as life does go on, we knew mom was in incredible hands - which continued hours after her passing until she was loaded into the funeral homes car.
