This is an exceptional place for our mom, the staff are excellent and go so beyond in all that they do. It feels like home in so many ways and is safe, social and a fabulous place to live. I think it can be a hard transition for older people but I think they end up surprised how wonderful it is to be in such a wonderful place. I think it’s a lot harder to be alone in a home with no supports or community. The front desk staff at Highgate are the best staff on Vancouver island and Val is the best communications manager ever:) I just love the staff!

Transitioning my sister from living on her own to assisted living was made so much easier with the help of the staff at Nanaimo Seniors Village. I don’t worry about her being alone knowing there’s always a friendly face and help available to her when she needs it!

We feel very lucky to have had both of our parents spend their remaining years at NSV. Starting in LTC and independent living, our Dad ended up in assisted living. The staff were very caring with lots of interaction, and truly made their lives full of activities and opportunities. Our Dad even rediscovered his love of billiards! Thank you to all for making such meaningful experiences and memories!
