This is an exceptional place for our mom, the staff are excellent and go so beyond in all that they do. It feels like home in so many ways and is safe, social and a fabulous place to live. I think it can be a hard transition for older people but I think they end up surprised how wonderful it is to be in such a wonderful place. I think it’s a lot harder to be alone in a home with no supports or community. The front desk staff at Highgate are the best staff on Vancouver island and Val is the best communications manager ever:) I just love the staff!

My father moved into NSV 2 years ago. He's now 95. The increased socializing only has been beneficial. He plays pool with a grouo of guys. Theres a great deck outside to sit in the sun. He has his 3 meals a day and light housekeeping weekly. It's a weight off my shoulders too. The staff is great and so helpful. I know eyes on on him 24/7. There are activities and outings if he choices to join in. Thank you all!!!

We feel very lucky to have had both of our parents spend their remaining years at NSV. Starting in LTC and independent living, our Dad ended up in assisted living. The staff were very caring with lots of interaction, and truly made their lives full of activities and opportunities. Our Dad even rediscovered his love of billiards! Thank you to all for making such meaningful experiences and memories!
