  My parents moved to Oak Crossing Retirement Living in June of 2024 . The facility itself is a nice design and is well maintained. Both my parents settled in and became comfortable fairly quickly. The staff are attentive, accommodating and pleasant . My Dad has since passed away and the nurses and staff have been very supportive for my mother. The meals are good , I have eaten their myself on a number of occasions It is a big relief to me knowing that my mother is safe , treated with respect and well looked after . I would definitely recommend Oak Crossing Retirement Living

  Nearly three months after my grandfather's passing, the public report has finally been released As expected, it confirms what we already knew — there were significant inaccuracies in the medical charts, critical care processes were not followed, and there was a clear failure in the standard of care provided at Oakcrossing Long-Term Care. Remember what they did! The Ministry of Long-Term Care has officially identified non-compliance, validating that the facility failed in its responsibilities-failures that ultimately cost my grandfather his life. We continue to engage in discussions with legal counsel while awaiting the full report. This marks the beginning of our pursuit of justice.

  My husband and I were in to visit his mother on May 18th 2025.We had gathered for a conversation in a sitting room near the elevator on the second floor. The time was very shortly after 6pm.Whilst enjoying our chat down the hall came a nurse, Psw or someone of that nature with a name starting with an M. With her were 3 residents being transported via the elevator. Upon waiting for the elevator M took it upon herself to make comments to the residents. M stated that her blood pressure and anxiety were up and that's due to coming there for 8 years and having to deal with them. This is because of you she stated to the residents. Upon hearing these comments I proceeded to go out and address her mean and uncalled for statements. I stated to her that I hoped the residents had not heard her ( letting her know i had inadvertently). Her response was they know me and are used to it. The elevator arrived and she loaded them up and off they went. I find this behaviour immensely disturbing. I myself have previously worked in a retirement home and would never under any circumstances behave in this manner. Perhaps M should move along to another profession, say perhaps McDonald's. What weak character M displayed. Picking on those weaker than yourself speaks volumes about you M. I also am aware that probably nothing will be done about this as people like that are usually let to get away with it. We will be reporting you to your superiors and caution anyone considering this establishment to not do so. Extremely understaffed also. To try to placate me with a response of trying to smooth this over would be an insult, don't bother to try. We heard and saw what we did, period.
