  UPDATE: June, 2026 This is my second review for Chartwell Anne Hathaway. ( I had to add to my original as it appears that I cannot submit more than one review to the same business.) On June 4, 2026 we received a telephone call from Chartwell Anne Hathaway that our 95 year old mother experienced a 'Code Blue' occurrence at the home. I was unaware of the meaning of a 'Code Blue' event but learned that a 'Code Blue' is a choking incident. This chocking incident occurred in the dining room. Staff assured us that the team sprung into action to ensure she had a clear airway, that her oxygen, and vitals all returned to normal and were monitoring our mom. I feel it is important to share that I felt absolutely confident that the staff/team reacted IMMEDIATELY to ensure the safety of my mother. I hadn't a doubt in my mind of their abilities to ensure she was safe and the obstruction removed. I continue to have complete trust with the staff. After speaking with the General Manager, Louise, it is no surprise that the staff our so well trained with regular drills for just such an occurrence. I implicitly trust the staff at Chartwell Anne Hathaway with our mother and am so incredibly grateful she is safe and cared for. Thank you, Chartwell staff. November, 2025 I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chartwell Anne Hathaway. From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed with a personable and warm greeting from the extraordinary Lori at the front desk. (All calls to the home are greeted the same!) The facility is spotless, with several comfortable areas for residents and families that choose to enjoy a coffee in a lounge. There are multiple activities regularly for residents wishing to partake. Residents are genuinely happy there!! The food is outstanding!!! We regularly join our mother in the dining room and choose not to go out as it is difficult to surpass the quality, taste and dining experience at this residence. The staff go above and beyond every day...treating residents with dignity, patience and kindness. This residence has been an absolute blessing for our mother. The staff are extraordinary and I apologize in advance if I have missed listing some of the EXCEPTIONAL staff. Lori (Office Mgr/front desk) - her reception greeting is incredible, any business would be fortunate to have Lori as their first impression! Richu (Maintenance Mgr) - facility is spotless, resident room maintenance completed swiftly! Deb (Food Service Mgr) - I repeat, I cannot state how exemplary the food is at this home. Kaitlyn (Retirement Living/Activity Coordinator) - this lady is always working hard providing multiple high quality activities for residents. Yet, she still finds time for hugs! Camryn (Health & Wellness Mgr) - I cannot express how often we reach out to Camryn as our mother's needs change regularly. She always responds swiftly, thoroughly and makes herself available. PSW's - There are so many excellent PSW's on staff, but I feel compelled to list the following, Jodi, Hima, and Lorie. Their outstanding service delivery cannot be communicated enough. Previously, at another residence, our mother REFUSED all care. These exceptional staff are welcomed by our mother. Louise (General Mgr) - And, at the helm of this extraordinary residence, is the GM, Louise. She is calm, personable, available, and SO kind. I am so GRATEFUL to have Louise overseeing this residence. I cannot fully express how fortunate you would be to have a loved one at this residence. I am actually emotional generating this post, as this home has been such a blessing for our mother. I, 100% would recommend this home for your loved family member.

  My Mother has lived at Anne Hathaway Retirement Residence for almost three years. It is a lovely, well maintained facility. The staff are welcoming, approachable and supportive. Residents are cared for with respect, kindness, patience and empathy. Any concerns are addressed immediately. A wide range of events and activities provide many opportunities to keep everyone engaged, including interesting presentations and musical entertainment. Books are available to borrow from the organized, well stocked library. A delicious variety of nutritious, balanced meals, with options, are prepared and served by friendly staff. Residents can book appointments with an amazing doctor who visits weekly, A monthly vitals clinic is offered to monitor weight and blood pressure. There is a wonderful on-site hairdresser, too. My family and I truly appreciate everything the Anne Hathaway staff do to keep our Mother safe, content and comfortable.

  I can't say enough about Chartwell Anne Hathaway and the incredible team that works there. Through The Legacy Project, I’ve had the honor of sitting down with some of their residents to record and preserve their life stories, capturing their wisdom, memories, and experiences on video for their families and future generations. From the very start, the staff has been unbelievably supportive, going above and beyond to make this project a reality. It’s not just about providing great care here—it’s about enriching lives. The team at Chartwell is always looking for ways to bring new experiences to their residents, and their commitment to helping them share their stories speaks volumes about the heart of this community. The residents themselves have been warm, welcoming, and full of amazing stories, and it’s been a privilege to help them document their legacies.
