  I wish I could give 0 stars to Ressam Gardens, I feel 1 star is being generous.  First I will say most of the staff are fantastic, very caring and giving. For a memory care facility there are too many new faces and staff switching from floor to floor, how is anyone suppose to get to someone when they are not around enough(especially someone with dementia or Alzheimer's).  When we chose Ressam we were misinformed about the food, we were told the menu was based on the seasons and what was available.  But the food was in fact not fresh, just frozen and no variety or flavour.  In the 8 months of residing at Ressam the menu never changed!  Her options were a sandwich or pasta most of the time for lunch. Who wants to eat a hummus and bacon sandwich or a beef and fruit lettuce wrap?  Also all juice given was watered down!  With the amount of money paying to live at a place like this the food should be made daily not heated from frozen! It was a very traumatic place due to people moaning, screaming and wandering from morning till night.  There was very little activity on the floor, most of the time it was just watching tv or staying in bed and sleeping.   While visiting Ressam I noticed a few odd things: taking briefs and ordering boost drinks(client paying for) without permission , resident laying on the floor multiple times, laundry taking 3 hours to partially dry(which was put away damp) and having residents yelling from their room when assistance was needed. The majority of the information on the website is false

  We are lucky that our mother lives at Ressam. Our mother's health declined during the last six month and the team has adapted to help her. The team at Ressam cares about our mom and her wellbeing. Shout out to the in-house doctor and general manager for working closely with our family to ensure that mom is well taken care of. Thanks for everything.

  Ressam Gardens is amazing. The front reception you will usually find Christine. She is the main go to person at the front desk and Janina is always present there as well. These two ladies are a wealth of knowledge and assistance. The most welcoming aspect is the owner, Nafia. He is hands on managing this gentle and delicate environment that we keep our loved ones. Nafia is so invested in this facility for these residents, it's admirable. He is also the most approachable person for any concerns with an open door anytime. Staff is so friendly, compassionate and very welcoming at any time. You always worry about your loved ones when they are being cared for and want to make an exceptional choice. Ressam Gardens has brought peace of mind knowing my mom is being looked after with great care. Jasmine, what a beautiful soul she is on my mom's floor always helpful. Everyone seems to enjoy their working environment and takes such good care of the residents. When I see the interaction my mom has with staff, she smiles and it makes me feel that she is safe and gives me a calmness to not worry. The residents are top priority and it gives their families peace of mind.
