Senior Care Path Summary
Klinic Community Health provides free mental health counselling and crisis support from their Winnipeg location. Services include drop-in counselling (no appointment needed), trauma counselling, suicide bereavement counselling, and wellness education through their "Life in Balance" program. They emphasize accessibility and welcome people of all backgrounds. While the website does not specifically highlight geriatric or older-adult programming, the drop-in model and free crisis lines serve all ages, and their trauma and bereavement services may benefit seniors dealing with loss or past experiences.
The organization operates a 24/7 crisis line (204-786-8686) and the Manitoba Suicide Prevention and Support Line (1-877-435-7170), with counselling intake available by phone (204-784-4059) or email. Their approach centres on whole-person care and health equity, though the website does not describe specific accessibility features such as parking, wheelchair access, or whether staff hold formal clinical credentials in geriatric mental health.

Seemed to know more about my own genetics than me but wouldn't disclose. Excessive complete unsolicited pressure to use "trans support". Refused to counsel after my step father attacked me physically and caused injuries. Refused to properly assess injuries. Had me sign a blank consent form in front of step father and nurse "in case we think of another doctor to get files from". In autistic, ADHD and have neurological problems. I am queer and only very recently found out myself I'm intersex. NOT SAFE FOR US All complaints fell flat, no help. Excessive focus on tone of voice and word choice while showing no concern for serious chronic health issues. Left one day after being scolded for "tone and words" only to be denied a taxi for the same reason. My cell died. I had chargers but no businesses will allow charging. Myself and daughter spent five hours getting home in a 4mph power chair from klinic to 2391 portage Ave. Another traumatizing public health institute refusing to follow laws. Typical Winnipeg healthcare. Horrific place. Zero stars, actually

Great service! The nurse Natalie is amazing and makes you feel very comfortable. Fast service and they give you food and water if you need. I was talked to by a strange guy in the waiting room but that’s my only complaint. They are in high demand so just be patient with them❤️ they are here to help you.

Klinic is a great community reasouce, the staff are friendly, though quite busy. They often have extra volunteer staff in the lobby handing out coffee, snacks, and safe supplies. The wait lists for some of their reasouces are quite long as there more people in need than one place can handle. I've gotten my blood drawn there a few times, so long as I was hydrated it was a very quick in and out turn around. It was rare for them to be more that 15 minutes behind in my experience.
