Errands & Household Help

Tech Help for Seniors

Tech helpers set up and fix the everyday technology that keeps a parent connected: the TV and streaming apps, Wi-Fi, the printer, an iPad or phone, video calls and passwords.

A good helper teaches as they go and leaves simple written steps, so your parent isn't stuck the next time.

Your parent should stay present and keep control of their passwords. A trustworthy helper never needs to keep them.

Real help is booked by you. Unsolicited calls or pop-ups offering to fix a computer are a common scam; report them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Ask whether they visit in person, help remotely, or both, and what they charge for each.

We're expanding our directory of providers in this category. In the meantime, our advisors can help you find trusted, vetted providers near you.
