I had a lot of ear wax that my wife tried to deal with at home using oil/hydrogen peroxide and then syringing with water. All we succeeded in doing was forcing the wax deeper into my ear canal and pressing on my ear drum causing great discomfort. I was scheduled to fly to Hong Kong so I made an urgent appointment at Sonaris in Burnaby to deal with the wax. Unfortunately, there was no suction machine at the Burnaby office and the wax was so impacted that syringing with water didn't work. The audiologist, Fred Matta, then offered to drive out to the Surrey office after hours on his personal time so that he could access the suction machine there, which was successful. Fred, you are a credit to your profession. I wish more health care professionals would be as dedicated and kind as you are. Many, many thanks.
