The pricing transparency gap
The single clearest finding: only 7.5% of providers in our directory publish a starting price. Families weighing 3,748 options are left calling one at a time to learn what care actually costs, which is exactly the comparison our Confidence Score and cost guides are built to close.
Methodology
Figures are computed directly from the 3,748 senior-living and home-care providers listed on Senior Care Path as of September 2026. Ratings and review counts come from Google, averaged across the 3,383 providers that carry a rating. Provincial averages are shown only for provinces with at least 25 listings. These describe providers in our directory, not a government census of every senior-care business in Canada.
