I contacted Essential Mobility on December 17 to repair my mother’s wheelchair after the brake was damaged during a fall. I understood that it was close to the holidays and expected some delay. However, five weeks later (January 28), no part had arrived and no one had even come to look at the chair. I followed up multiple times starting two weeks after placing the order and was repeatedly told, “the part will be in next week.” After contacting them again today, I was finally told that I had been “dealing with an employee who is no longer here,” and that the part is still not in. There was clearly no follow-up, no accountability, and no internal tracking of this repair. This was not a minor issue — it involved the safety and mobility of a senior after a fall. I contacted another mobility company and they are able to come the very next day to fix the wheelchair, which makes this prolonged delay even more frustrating. I would not recommend Essential Mobility based on this experience.

We brought in a rollator walker to have the bearings replaced in one front wheel fork. Essential Mobility quickly found us the needed bearings and replaced them in just a few minutes in their store, without a labour charge. Very courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Thank you very much Pat.

It was a pleasure to deal with this company. I only needed a wheelchair for a few hours to take my aunt to the farmers market. The other places I called wanted a month to month lease. They not only helped me, but didn't take advantage of the situation to exploit my moment of need and gave me a good price. Good job.
