  Making the decision to move a parent or loved one out of their home, especially due to urgent care needs, is extremely stressful and emotional. Amica Dundas was exceptional in their support on all levels. Their genuine care and empathy and from day one making my Dad feel seen, heard and valued provided us with immediate reassurance and comfort. Dad had lived in the same home for 57 years, a transition to living in a retirement home did not have great odds for success when routine and structure was essential to his life and function. Amica was without a doubt the best thing we did for Dad. The care he received from reception to kitchen staff, program coordinators and psw's/nurses was truly remarkable and without a doubt provided Dad with the best quality of life in his final years and his family with extended moments and memories that are so precious.

  We are a private agency that provides one-on-one support to seniors and have had the chance to support a client in the memory unit at Amica. The Amica team is great to work with and collaborates well with our caregivers. They care deeply about their residents and also make sure our caregivers are supported! Great place and staff.

  It is time for Amica Dundas to admit that their dining and meal department is not what they advertise. There have been years of excuses for long line ups for the dining room, slow service, hit and miss food quality, Bistro out of snacks and no leadership among servers who are doing their best to please a very forgiving clientele. Dining should be a highlight just as advertised and that is just not he case.
