Needs to be updated. Very crowded. Staff are wonderful. I am sure they could use more help.

Berkshire Care Centre Nursing Home (NH) has been a blessing for my dad (Lionel Eastmond) since his very arrival in 2017 where staff cared and supported him and me as his daughter (RoseAnna) and made this nursing home transition way easier on the heart & mind knowing he was receiving the care he needed and the support I even needed. This has been a wonderful caring nursing home for my dad all these years and dedicated staff have excelled in taking care of him and even referring to him as brother & papa... after an initial external event with close friends/family upon arrival my dad stated to them he was going 'home' and that was an amazing statement as he accepted Berkshire as his home initially. Berkshire is gifted with holding celebration activities (Christmas picture attached) and church events on a regular basis for residents together with family/friends. My plan initially was for this only to be his first interim home as the NH I had in mind initially not knowing about Berkshire would require time, but after witnessing that initial care and support I took him off that main referral list of where I thought I had wanted him, as he experienced the consistent devotion and love from staff and support and even to this very day, and there are consistent meetings with caregivers/physician to ensure the care and support needs are being met on a regular basis. We are very pleased with Berkshire as a whole.

Totally disgusted with this home. My mom has been there well over 10 plus years. The lack of communication among other things has got me furious. Mom is not able to make her own decisions and my POA status is NOT being honored. I have had to reach out to the Patient Ombudsman for action. It is still in the works but long story short thank fully she will be moving and we won't have to deal with it much longer. UPDATE: Mom has finally moved to her new home and is settling well there, however, I have been reaching out to Berkshire for an entire week needing to take care of unfinished business. I made a request for that and they have not responded to me in any way. Totally unprofessional customer service. UNREAL!!!!!!
