While the concept of this program is good, the execution is awful. The staff who came were hit or miss, but some were helpful. My grandfather was terminally ill with cancer and my family manged his meds at home. CBI was near impossible to reach as the office team and service team did not pass messages to each other and would tell us to call the other. They would not provide a timeframe of when their staff would come for the next day, or any day even if it's the same days of each week. They often came too late at night, after 10 p.m., which is not helpful for an elder man in pain after a full day. Their supervisors never called back when requested. My grandfather passed in October 2025. They called me in January 2026 asking for him about an overdue invoice ($17.54) that we didn't receive. I provided an email and informed them he passed. The same woman called my nan's house in May 2026 asking for him - knowing he was passed. Thankfully, I answered instead of his widow. The woman remembered speaking with me and lost the email, yet still asked for him knowing he had passed. The email invoice included a 1-800 number that is out of service and the local office for payments is 8:30-4:30 which is hard to reach, especially for working people. I can't capture in words how difficult it was to interact with this organization. They added another hardship to an already difficult time.

My mother is a patient needing some homecare, CBI was assigned to assist her. This has been the worst experience ever and has caused my mother and myself more stress than not having any home care. It is not clear what the caregiver is to do, when the show up they don’t really help her at all. Mom is a stage 4 cancer patient who experiences delirium and this causes a challenge with understanding at times. The care works show up and ask her what she wants then to do and she will tell them nothing so they leave. Should they not know what their job is and go through the house to see if the dishes need to be put away or put in the dishes in the washer, sweep the floor if it is dirty, check the garbage etc.? I mean you can visually see what needs to be done. No they ask mom what needs to be done and if in her state of mind she says nothing they just leave. I ended up moving my office into my mother’s home to clean, cook and assist her during the days because CBI is more hassle than help. I spoken to managers, supervisors, scheduling ect and nothing ever changes. I mean don’t get me wrong a couple of the care works who did show were nice but when I explain the situation even they say that it’s not the first time they heard or experienced with other clients. The leadership is definitely not capable and the patients are definitely not the priority. Very very poor service.
