  My husband receives care every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in our home. Our Monday/Wednesday nurse is Jhonalyn. She is punctual and always arrives with the most joyful demeanour. She always asks how my husband and I are doing, and asks specific questions to ensure my husband is doing well physically and emotionally. She even greets our dog by name. Jhonalyn goes the extra mile and offers to help with comfort tasks that are beyond her responsibility. She’s quick but very skilled. I hope Calgary CBI realizes just how fortunate they are to have Jhonalyn on their team!

  *** I strongly advise against using CBI as a home care provider. Their lack of professionalism and failure to provide proper care has been ongoing. Despite escalating multiple concerns to a supervisor, absolutely nothing was resolved. There is a clear breakdown in accountability and standards of care*** No need to email them either because they don't take anything to heart. Absolutely unacceptable experience. My mother was supposed to receive home care services, yet she received no care whatsoever. Staff hung up on me multiple times when I tried to call and get answers, which is beyond disrespectful and completely unprofessional. The one person who did show up walked into the house, did nothing, and then walked out while yelling and screaming. No care was provided, no help was given, and no accountability was shown. This is supposed to be a service that helps vulnerable people, but instead it caused stress, frustration, and complete disappointment. There was no compassion, no professionalism, and no effort to actually do the job they were assigned to do. I would never trust CBI Health with the care of anyone I love, and I strongly question how this level of service is considered acceptable. Also I have the immigrant that walked him to the house all on video just in case anyone was wondering. Every single phone call recorded to try and get things recollected but... Apparently we're not allowed to do that so this will be posted social media wide as well as here. You guys are pathetic home care service. I hope you get shut down

  What keeps this company afloat, reputationally, are a few good home care workers. In our case, these would be Amane, Maninder, Celam and Jason. These people are true professionals in caregiving. Their chill, easy-going and friendly manner makes their interaction with the client, my wife's mother, smooth and effective. We are happy to have their service. And, I would like to single out Jason. He is an inspiration to watch, just how he provides effective care for my 84-year-old mother-in-law, who suffers from a heart condition, advanced arthritis and dementia. He is kind, thoughtful and thorough, and genuinely concerned with her well-being. In addition, he is one of the very few caregivers who will communicate with us directly, regarding any issues or concerns that arise with caring for this client. (Amane, Maninder and Celam have also gone the extra step in informing us directly of any problems.) We know "grandma" is not always easy to deal with, as the case manager noted in the care plan, that she can be "resistant" to receiving care. He is a true professional in his field of work, an employee who takes his job seriously, and a great ambassador for the company. I can't thank you enough for your service, Jason.
