Glacier Ridge is the perfect home for a senior family member. This place became the choice for our family for so many reasons. It's conveniently located in Thunder Bay, the staff is incredible (most staff have been working there for 15-20+ years which was a big plus for us), the atmosphere is very welcoming and they have a choice of 2-3 activities a day that seniors can participate in. The meal area is a very positive place and you can see that residents love to connect with each other at meal time. Mandy is exceptional at helping you navigate the move, answering questions and creating activities that keep senior's connected to the community. Dawn is the nurse or nurse practitioner on staff and the way she handled hard conversations with our family was a true mark of professionalism. It's obvious that the people working there care a lot about the individuals and want them to be supported. The grounds have a great walking path that goes around the building and one resident boasted that they walk it ten times in the morning and ten times at night. Our family is always able to visit and the patio area is a favourite place to sit and talk. Thanks Chartwell!

We met, the lovely and well-prepared, Mandy for a tour this week. My Dad, my husband and I were very impressed with the positive atmosphere, wonderful services offered, and lovely living, dining, recreational & entertaining spaces. The staff and residents we met were all friendly and welcoming. We look forward to becoming part of the Chartwell community.
