  I’ve had the chance to work with Judy Batten and the team at Chartwell Hollandview Trail, and I’ve been consistently impressed. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been warm, professional, and focused on making residents feel comfortable and well cared for. This is clearly a residence with the right priorities!

  Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to the young man at the concierge desk who always goes above and beyond for my mother-in-law. You are truly one of a kind and your kindness never goes unnoticed. She doesn’t open up easily, but you’ve made her feel so comfortable and supported. It means the world to our family knowing she has someone like you there for her. Thank you for everything you do! 💕😊

  Jodi, Food & Beverage Manager Chartwell, Hollandview Trail, Aurora, ON Ann and I are coming up on ten months as Chartwell residents and wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the service provided by you and your staff. The meals have been excellent, however, we still notice that it is impossible to keep everyone happy no matter how hard you try. When you think of it, we probably spend more time in the dining room than any other service facility provided by Chartwell. At 11:45am and 4:45pm the kitchen must be ready for the invasion and ready to provide well over 150 meals in short order. The flexibility provided in scheduled meal choices and A-la- Cart options make us wonder how anyone has difficulty finding a meal choice to their liking. In addition, we rarely find anything about the food or preparation that could be improved. Then there are your servers who are all so different with respect to their personalities but each in their own way go beyond what could be defined as normal service to be polite, courteous and attentive to our needs. They do this while also facing the day-to-day challenges in their own lives which we are sure must make it difficult at times. Especially when 3 of those seated at a table ask the server to repeat the dessert options which everyone at the table has already heard. One example is the pressure that one server has been under the past few months in getting his family out of Iran and to safety in Canada. Throughout that ordeal he carried out his responsibilities in a professional manner. When he confirmed that they had arrived last Saturday it brough tears to our eyes and we were pleased that his family was together again. On a more personal note, you and all the servers have been going above and beyond when dealing with our sister following her husband’s passing. The caring and concern demonstrated by your staff cannot be overstated and is sincerely appreciated. We do, however, have a suggestion for you. Would it be possible to take a picture of the Entrée and Sides at the beginning of the meal sessions and post the picture at the entrance to the dining room so that we can see the portions and variety of the meal to be served? Please know that we appreciate your efforts and those of your entire team. Ann and Cliff July 18, 2025
