My Mom has been living in Collier Place for over 10 years now. She enjoys being there and gets along well with the staff who run the place. The only problems she has had there have been things that are beyond the control of Collier Place (for example, Roger’s doing work in the building and messing around with her cable, the City of Barrie putting up a huge building next door that was supposed to have senior’s services (doctors office, pharmacy, grocery store, hairdresser etc)). The building is clean. There are activity rooms, a morning coffee group, a workshop, laundry, a library and a fitness room). For those who wish to attend church on Sunday, there is a sheltered walkway from Collier Place into the United Church, so the residents don’t have to walk outside to attend church. The only complaint I have (and this is beyond the control of Collier Place) is that there is no parking lot for visitors. Visitors must park either on the street or in a parkade next door.

I am posting on behalf of my Mom (age 93) who lived at Collier Place for almost 24-years before recently relocating to a nursing home . Mom thoroughly enjoyed the years she spent at Collier Place, meeting so many wonderful people and making many friendships along the way. There are so many great activities offered that encourages seniors to socialize and interact with one another. Management ensures Collier Place is a clean, safe and well run establishment. Thumbs up to Breda.
