Southwood Lakes Extended Care was a Wonderful caring facility that I would highly recommend. My husband was there for 3 months before He passed. He received Excellent care and the Staff made His short stay feel like home. They were very informative regarding any changes in His medications and overall health condition. A Huge Thankyou to All the Staff and especially His afternoon nurse Josie who was very upbeat and supportive and had a way of keeping Him as well as Myself in good spirits. ❤️❤️

Thought it was a good fit for my mother in law. Two days in she wet herself, I went and asked for assistance and was told she would be right there. A few minutes later, bepper still going off. I walk out to the nurses station to find her standing talking with a couple other staff. As soon as she saw me she came but I am definitely not happy with that! Well 6 months have passed and it seems like the incident has not been repeated. My MIL seems happy enough. The staff keep us informed of any illness or issues that arise, good or bad. As it stands if one of our other choices for an LTC becomes available we will probably keep her here.

Mother in law checked in at 11am. Escaped by 6 pm. (The same day) Received a call from nursing home at 7pm (they were informed that she would try to get out). I found her at 8 on Mount Royal. We did not bring her back! The kicker about it we were charged for one day stay lol. Piece of advice when the alarm goes off run outside don’t check to see who is missing and place more cameras outside and down North Talbot. We were very lucky we found her and she was okay. Think twice before you put her in this place.
