Called this facility to schedule a tour. Receptionist puts phone call on hold so they can speak with someone about it. However, they did not mute their end of the phone call and overhear them being told by someone else to just hang up. Which they proceeded to do. Incredibly unprofessional, if this is any indication of the treatment of residents, glad this bullet was dodged.

Caring,knowledgeable and friendly staff. From the PSW's to the nurses to the lovely lady at the front desk they made my brother and I feel comfortable moving our Dad in on Christmas Eve. Communication regarding Dad's daily routine have been excellent!Special thanks to Julie and Ashley❤️

Both of my parents are at Forest Heights LTC for 3 years now and they're very happy there. Although the building is a bit older but inside it's well kept. The floor and hallway are clean and clear of clutter. There is a lot of natural light in every resident room, lunch room, common space, and hallway. The facility staff makes their round throughout the day to keep the floor and washroom clean. If anything breaks, the maintenance team would respond within the same day. The nursing staff and PSW team are excellent, especially those in Gibbon House. They are always on their feet to look after someone so even if they can't respond to the bell call immediately but they know that there's a resident needing care and will reach out. They're treating residents with respect and dignity, as well as keeping family informed of every little updates such as medication changes, blood work, diagnostic results, physio treatment, leisure activities, etc. There are several activities everyday and on weekends they have free manicure for anyone wanted it. In the summer they also do gardening in the court yard. It was just a few activities that we observed but overall we see that there's a lot of human compassion and care at this home. The front line staff cares a lot about the residents and treat them like friends. They waved goodbye when the residents go out and give them hugs when they come back. They are trying to do their part as best as they can and attend to all residents as quickly as possible, so in return the residents & family also need to show a bit more patience and understanding. The staff at Gibbon House genuinely care for the residents!
