  My husband and I met Paula back in April after I contacted JLH ( Just Like Home) to inquire about respite care for my husband who suffers from Parkinson’s disease and dementia. When Paula arrived at our home to meet and perhaps employ her to spend time with my husband, we were instantly taken by her cheerful outlook. I felt an instant connection with Paula and arranged to have her come and sit with my husband while I had 3 hours of freedom to shop, visit a friend or sit on the beach. Most important, was my husband, he very much enjoyed Paula’s company. She was patient to sit with him and watch his tv programs or relax on the deck with him. This made my time away very relaxing with no worries if he was unhappy. She is very kind, patient and reliable, I would gladly recommend Paula to anyone who might be searching for some relief from care giving. Paula will make your time away very comforting.

Paula has been both professional and kind, helping my mother stay socially engaged and emotionally supported during a difficult transition. From assisting with light tasks around the house to accompanying her to her weekly art therapy classes, Paula brings a sense of joy, safety, and structure to each visit. What stands out most is Paula’s ability to connect—she listens attentively, encourages meaningful conversation, and helps my mother feel seen, respected, and empowered. I’ve witnessed firsthand how these visits have helped restore her confidence and spark her creativity again.   I cannot say enough about how wonderful this company has been. James and his employees are extremely accommodating, they will work with your schedule. When we went on holidays, they were available to come and stay with my mother day and night. My mother was very happy with the care she had. All at a very reasonable price! I highly recommend this company.
